Baylor Lands Commitment From Miami CB Isaiah Dunson

The Baylor Bears took a positive step toward rebuilding their secondary on Sunday

The Baylor Bears have had a rough offseason in terms of turnover in the defensive secondary, losing defensive backs Lorando Johnson Alfahiym Walcott, Mike Harris, and Devin Neal.

Fortunately for the Bears, reinforcements are on the way, with five defensive backs heading to Waco via the 2023 signing class.

However, now they have even more help on the way. And this time, that help with comes with experience, with third-year Miami corner Isaiah Dunson committing to the program on Sunday.

He will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Bears.

Originally a four-star recruit in the 2020 class, the Tucker (GA) native played in 13 games for Miami, making 14 tackles, with one pass defense.

He is one of six Miami defensive backs to enter the portal, joining Khamauri Rogers, Davonte Brown, Al Blades Jr., Gilbert Frierson, and Keshawn Washington.

Dunson becomes the sixth transfer to commit to the Bears this offseason but is first on the defensive side of the ball.

Offensively, the Bears have already brought in Arkansas wide receiver Ketron Jackson, Oklahoma State running back Dominic Richardson, and BYU offensive linemen Clark and Campbell Barrington.

Meanwhile, on special teams, the Bears landed a commitment earlier this week from former Michigan State kicker and punter, Jack Stone.
