Baylor Volleyball Releases 2022 Schedule

Dates and times subject to change

The Baylor University volleyball team unveiled the Bears' 2022 regular-season schedule on Thursday, June 9.

As usual, especially this early in the announcement process, all dates and times are subject to change.

The Bears are set to play 29 regular-season matches, including four tournaments -- the Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge Tournament hosted by Texas Christian University (TCU), the Pepperdine Asics Classic, and two non-conference tournaments being held in Waco's Ferrell Center, the Baylor Invitational and the Baylor Classic.

Baylor is slated to play 15 matches at home and will be facing 11 teams that made the 2021 NCAA Tournament (three of which made it to the Elite Eight).

Baylor begins play with two exhibition matches at the Ferrell Center, the annual Green vs. Gold game on Aug. 17 and a battle against the Texas A&M Aggies on Aug. 20.

The girls then begin regular-season action in Fort Worth, Texas, on August 26-27 for the Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge as the Bears will be facing Minnesota and Wisconsin (the same two opponents BU faced a year ago).

From there, the team continues a road trek from September 1-3 at the Pepperdine Asics Classic in Malibu, California, as the Bears will be battling Pepperdine, San Diego and the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB).

The Bears open home action with the Baylor Invitational from September 8-9 as the girls are slated to battle Colorado State, Arizona State and Evansville.

On September 13, the team faces the University of North Texas (UNT) prior to the Bears hosting the Baylor Classic from Sept. 15-16 against Tulsa, Sam Houston and McNeese.

Baylor begins Big 12 play on Sept. 21 as the Bears host TCU before hitting the road for matchups against Iowa State (Sept. 28) and Kansas (Oct. 1) before returning to the Ferrell Center against Oklahoma on Oct. 5.

After a tilt at West Virginia on Oct. 8, the girls play a non-conference game against Rice on Oct. 12 before jumping back into conference play hosting Texas on Oct. 15 and Texas Tech on Oct.. 19.

Once again on the road, the Bears face Kansas State (Oct. 22), Oklahoma (Oct. 26), West Virginia (Oct. 29) and Texas Tech (Nov. 2) before returning home to host Kansas on Nov. 5.

Following a road bout against TCU on Nov. 12, the girls wrap up the season at home against Iowa State on Nov. 16, against Texas n Austin on Nov. 19, and back home against Kansas State on Nov. 26.

Baylor went 22-6 last season and advanced to the NCAA Regional Semifinals.
