Boston College will be down a forward, as freshman Julian Rishwain is set to transfer according to Jeff Goodman:

Rishwain, from California, is a 6-5 forward, who came off the bench for most of the 2019-2020 season. He saw his playing time diminish in the middle of the ACC schedule, as he battled an injury. When injuries struck the roster, his playing time increased, and he was playing close to 20 minutes a game by the end of the season. His biggest game of the season came against DePaul when he scored 15 points and went 4-7 on three point attempts. While at times he looked like Rishwain would be a scorer for the team, he only shot 33% on the season.

His role on the team could have taken a jump in 2020-2021 as Jarius Hamilton, another forward has also transferred. But with both gone, the Eagles will need to find another body to fill that small forward role. They could look at moving one of their guards to the slot and play small, or they could continue to scour the transfer portal to find a good fit. The Eagles have also made the final list of Top 100 SF Jadun Michael who recently pulled out of his commitment at Wichita State.

Rishwain joins Hamilton and Chris Herren as Eagles leaving via the transfer portal. The Eagles filled one of those slots when guard Rich Kelly of Quinnipiac transferred to BC this week. The Eagles have also been linked to center Evan Cole of Georgia Tech.
