Boston College (4-3) are riding high after a big win on Saturday against NC State, winning 45-24 at home. But they will need to kick into high gear this week as they face off with the defending national champion Clemson Tigers (7-0) in Death Valley.

Clemson who is averaging 28 points per victory, recently beat Louisville 45-10 on the road. Vegas and the bookies have spoken and have been installed the Tigers as a 34.5 point favorite according to Betonline.ag.

Last season Clemson and Boston College battled in Chestnut Hill in a night time game that featured College Gameday's first visit to the Heights since 2010. After a Michael Walker punt return for a touchdown, it was all Clemson who knocked out Anthony Brown and rode Trevor Lawrence's strong arm to a 27-7 win.

Boston College has yet to play a top 10 team this year, and Clemson's offense will be quite the challenge for a defense that up until last week had been playing poorly. The Tigers are strong in all aspects of their game, but the number that sticks out is rushing defense, which has allowed a paltry 3.04 yards per carry. For a team like Boston College who lives and dies by the run, that is a concerning statistic that could spell trouble for the Eagles.

So what do you think of the spread? If you were a gambler would you put money on the Eagles?
