HALFTIME: Boston College 28 Virginia Tech 14: Eagles Take Advantage Of Hokies Errors
Boston College's offense made some huge plays during the first half as they jumped out for a 28-14 lead at halftime. Anthony Brown passed for 258 yards and two touchdowns, one to Zay Flowers and another to Kobay White who showed great footwork to haul it in. Flowers, was all over the field for the first quarter, with 91 yards receiving, and 16 rushing yards. If he can continue to be a deep threat for BC he could be a major factor moving forward for the Eagles.
AJ Dillon for the most part was kept off balance, but he was able to smash home a nifty touchdown run on a change of direction that had was vintage Dillon. David Bailey looked strong as well as a change of pace back, and hauled in a key 26 yard pass on a third and long.
On the defensive side BC struggled at times, but still made some plays including a Ryan Willis fumble that was recovered by Marcus Valdez, and a muffed punt by the Hokies that was recovered by Nolan Borgersen. Joe Sparacio ended the half with an interception in the end zone to seal the lead.
BC leads 28-14.
