Last season the Louisville Cardinals were a team falling apart at the seams, as former coach Bobby Petrino oversaw the collapse of a program that only two years before had a Heisman candidate and was a legitimate threat in the ACC. But this year Scott Satterfield has them clicking, and Boston College head coach Steve Addazio is impressed "The direct result, you know, of their staff, their head coach and staff.... I mean, that's a well coached operation. He's going to do a fantastic job there, and is an excellent football coach and you can see the reflection of that in their team already."

The team itself is "fast" says Addazio, which is most apparent in their run game which jumped from 102nd in the country last year averaging only 141 yards a game, to 22nd with over 200 yards per game. For a defense that has struggled the past three games, the Eagles are going to need to play a tight game and limit the explosive plays that can happen when playing teams with speed.

The improvement and speed is on both sides of the ball says Addazio, as he notes the defense are good tacklers with good speed as well. The Cardinals are certainly playing that way jumped from 122nd in total defense all the way up to 50th. Clearly Louisville is heading in the right direction, and they are going to be energized as they shoot for their first ACC win in over a year. It will be on Steve Addazio and his staff to come up with a complete game plan to prevent that from happening.
