With BC's FCS opponent in the rear view mirror, it's time for the Eagles to refocus on their FBS schedule and the first opponent will be the Big 12's Kansas Jayhawks. This is a team that has struggled for a long time, at the end of last season, a year they went 1-11 they fired their head coach David Beaty and brought in enigmatic legend Les Miles to try and fix the ship. But that hasn't been the case so far for the Jayhawks who won a close game against Indiana State 24-17, but then lost to Coastal Carolina 12-7.

BC is going to be the first Power 5 opponent for Miles, and it is going to be a challenging one. While Kansas has done a nice job on defense so far, they haven't done anything on offense, only averaging 312 yards on offense against two inferior opponents. During those two games, they only averaged 3.89 yards per rush, and their QB Carter Stanley has thrown for 348 yards total. And even though they have only allowed an average of 18 points a game, they are still 88th in the country in rushing yards allowed, which of course will be a challenge against a team like Boston College who is currently 20th in the country in rushing yards per game with 251.

But you never want to write off a team, and BC will have to take care of business and continue to execute on Friday night. Can they do it, we will continue to discuss this week.

Storylines Going Into This Game: Boston College's defense has been giving up yards, with a bend but don't break mentality that has led to a ton of turnovers. Can this trend continue? On the offensive side of the ball, BC has shown a number of weapons, will they continue to grow on that side of the ball. Pooka Williams is back, can he gash a BC defense that has let up quite a bit of yards on the ground?

Vegas Line: BC -21.5 (Wow!)

Random Kansas Jayhawks Fact: Baby Jay, one of the Kansas mascots opened a Godzilla festival in Lawrence

Player To Watch: AJ Dillon: Kansas has really struggled defending the run, and that has been against Indiana State and Coastal Carolina. If they can't stop AJ Dillon this game could get ugly quickly. Expect the star running back to break a few big ones and really establish himself early. His big physical style should cause major problems for Kansas.
