Some respect for the Eagles.

Boston College Football Receives Votes In First Coaches Poll

While the Eagles open training camp today, in sort of surprising news, the Boston College Eagles received some votes in the Amway Preseason Coaches Poll. In the poll, the Eagles received five votes, finishing in the "also receiving votes" section. While this isn't huge news, it's nice to see them actually get some respect from the coaches.

In terms of opponents BC had six teams they play make the list including

1. Clemson

9. Notre Dame

22. Syracuse

And also receiving votes: Virginia Tech (76), NC State (10), Florida State (4).

Clearly the tone of the season will be made against Virginia Tech, a win against the Hokies and BC could be close to cracking the Top 25 again, a loss will remove them from the votes altogether.
