BC 35 VT 28: Top 10 Plays Of The Game (Powered By WePlayed)

In our final look at Saturday's 35-28 win over Virginia Tech, BC Maven is going to go all Sportscenter on you and create a Top 10 Plays of the game. There were so many big plays in this one that it was hard to choose just 10, but I was able to do it.
To create this Top 10 we used the WePlayed Platform which allowed us to chop up the game and make video highlights and playlists for the game. If you want to check out the entire playlist at once click here, if you want to just go play by play click the title of each highlight below, they are links and it will take you to the video. You can also comment on each highlight if you would like on the WePlayed site to leave your thoughts as well. Hope you enjoy!
10. John Lamot Sticks DeShawn McClease for a big loss.
Was this a game changing play like some of the others? No, but this play perfectly encapsulates what kind of game the linebacker had. Just a perfect job at hitting his hole, wrapping up McClease for the tackle which didn't allow for any escape and ended up with a huge loss.
9. Joe Sparacio Dives In And Ends Half With Interception
With Isaiah McDuffie out for the game, it was the redshirt freshman who made a game changing play for the Eagles. With Ryan Willis driving down the field, it looked like VT would have the momentum going into the half, but Sparacio dove in front of a pass in the end zone to prevent the touchdown.
8. Anthony Brown TD Scamper On A Great Call And Behind Some Excellent Blocking.
Throughout the game, Brown had dazzled us with a great long ball and some fantastic touch on his passes. But he showed that he still is a dual threat quarterback on a really well designed run that allowed Brown to just cruise into the end zone, just a play after he went for the deep ball to Kobay White (which was nicely defended by VT). It was beautifully designed with both Chris Garrison and Jake Burt landing their blocks perfectly, as Brown found daylight and made it look easy. Brown talked about being hesitant to run (probably due to his injury from 2017), but he said this run really boosted his confidence.
7. A.J. Dillon Change of Direction TD
Throughout the game AJ Dillon struggled to make that extra cut or move for a touchdown. To the surprise of few, this was due to the safeties backing off, forced to respect Anthony Brown's arm which had been picking apart the Hokies defense all game. In his first touchdown of the season, Dillon saw his blocks break down, was able to completely turn the play to the other end and still had the vision to shake off one final defender on his way into the end zone. Vintage AJ Dillon.
6. Big Guy Interception: Tanner Karafa Picks Off Ryan Willis
Is there anything better than a defensive tackle making an interception? Only when a player like Karafa bats the ball up to himself and still makes the interception. This turned out to be another big interception that took some of the pressure off the defense.
5. Tate Haynes Forces Fumble along with Brandon Barlow, Recovered By Marcus Valdez
Haynes comes in on the delayed corner back blitz, and hits the gap without anyone on VT accounting for him, he pops Ryan Willis around the same time as Brandon Barlow and the QB had no chance, as Marcus Valdez pops up with the ball. When the defense was struggling to get pressure on simple packages, it was designed blitzes like this that made the difference.
4. Zay Flowers Separates From Defender, Anthony Brown Floats In a Beauty And The Freshman Makes A Name For Himself
A true freshman, Flowers showed elite speed and great concentration as Brown threw a beautifully spotted pass that the freshman caught in stride for a touchdown. Making plays like this really highlight how a vertical passing game, and the ability to stretch the field can take the top off a defense and open up all sorts of plays for the offense. Plus Flowers looks like a special player, it will be exciting to see what he brings to the team.
3. Brandon Sebastian Grabs Interception, Holds On As He Falls On Head
With Virginia Tech driving, and Ryan Willis was able to move the ball at will, until he threw an underthrown pass that Brandon Sebastian leaped to snag, which was made even more incredible by his ability to hold on the ball as his legs were taken out from underneath him and he landed on his head/neck.
You knew he was getting the ball. I knew he was getting the ball. Bud Foster and the Virginia Tech defense knew he was getting the ball. And there was not a damn thing the Hokies defense could do to stop him. He needed 9 yards on that run, which seemed impossible, but with AJ Dillon the impossible happens all the time. With a nice block by Tyler Vrabel, he barreled ahead for 11 yards, and ended the game for the Eagles.
1. Kobay White's Incredible 17 Yard Touchdown Catch From Anthony Brown
It wasn't just an incredible catch, it was a beautifully thrown ball by Anthony Brown that was put in a tight window where only White could catch it. White was able to grab it and drag a foot in to give BC a huge touchdown.
