Today we will begin our Ultimate Football Game Tournament with our first matchup, the one seed '93 Notre Dame game versus the 2007 game against the Clemson Tigers

1993: #17 Boston College 41 #1 Notre Dame 39

Just one week after Notre Dame's "Game of the Century" they walked into Notre Dame Stadium as the #1 seed, all they had to do was knock off the Eagles and they would be heading into the National Championship game. BC would not go down easily though on the back of Glenn Foley they jumped out to a quick 10-0 lead, and had a commanding 24-10 lead going into half. BC looked to be in control up 38-17 However Notre Dame woke up and scored 22 unanswered points giving the Irish the lead with only 1:09 remaining. On the ensuing drive Foley was almost picked off, but then regained his composure and hit Pete Mitchell on a pair of big passes, before hitting a pass to Ivan Boyd at the 24 yard line. Then this happened.

2007: #17 Boston College 20 #15 Clemson 17

It was another classic Matt Ryan comeback, as the Eagles secured their first ever ACC Conference Title Game shot, going down to Death Valley and stunning the Tigers. Clemson jumped out to a 7-0 lead on a James Davis touchdown run and both team's defenses remained stout as neither team were able to muster up a point in the first half. After a Clemson field goal, BC got on the board with an Andre Challenger touchdown, and after both teams traded field goals it was up to Matt Ryan. He hit a 45 yard bomb to Richie Gunnell and that was all she wrote, stunning the Clemson crowd and giving BC a HUGE win.
