Former Four-Star BYU Signee Collin Chandler Flips to Kentucky

Collin Chandler will follow Mark Pope to Kentucky

On Tuesday morning, former four-star BYU signee Collin Chandler flipped his commitment from BYU to Kentucky. Chandler, who is set to return home from his mission in a few weeks, signed with BYU as part of the 2022 recruiting class.

Losing Chandler, while not surprising, is a major blow to the BYU basketball program. Chandler, who is listed at 6'4, prepped at Farmington High School. Chandler's commitment was one of the biggest recruiting wins in BYU basketball history - he was the highest-rated player ever to sign with BYU basketball. He is also ranked one of the top 35 prospects in the country by both ESPN and 247Sports.

Collin picked BYU over fellow finalists Utah, Oregon, USC, Gonzaga, Stanford, and  Arizona.

Whoever replaces Mark Pope, which is expected to happen this week, will have multiple roster spots to fill once he is hired.
