Texas DL Michael-Anthony Okwura Commits to Cal

Michael-Anthony Okwura, a defensive end from St. Thomas High school in Houston, Texas, committed to Cal for the class of 2024 on Saturday. Okwura made his announcement on social media on Sunday.

The 6-foot-2, 255-pound Okwura is rated as a three-star recruit who also had offers from Howard and Sam Houston State.
As a junior St. Thomas, Okwura had 48 tackles, four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks, and was named to an all-state squad.

Okwura is Cal's fifth commitment in the class of 2024, and three of them are from Texas. Linebacker Eze Osondu and offensive lineman Tyler Knape are also from the Lone Star State.
