Over-Under Betting Lines on Win Totals for Pac-12 Football Teams

One of the major preseason bets when it comes to college football is predicting how many wins a team will have in a season. We cited five betting sites that provided the over-under line for the number of wins each team will get in the 2023 season.

Most of the cites have Cal’s over-under at 5.5 wins, which means the Bears are expected to go 5-7 or 6-6. That’s a big difference because 5-7 ends the Cal season while 6-6 puts the Bears in a bowl game for the first time since the 2019 season. How would you bet the Bears? More than 5.5 wins? Or fewer?

The most surprising over-under line involves Oregon State, which has the same win total as Utah, which has won the past two Pac-12 championships. Perhaps the Beavers’ addition of Clemson transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei has folks optimistic about Oregon State’s 2023 season. The fact that Oregon State will not face USC in 2023 while Utah plays Florida and Baylor in nonconference games might also figure into the calculation.

Colorado, despite all of its transfer movement, and Stanford are at the bottom with just 3 or 3.5 wins expected.

There are varying odds for an over or under bet for each team, but we’re just concerned with the win-total line.
