‘Family Feud’ Says Aaron Rodgers Is Among the Sexiest Quarterbacks

Former Cal star and Lions QB Aaron Rodgers cited in game-show survey of 100 women. Rodgers also received miniscule bonus of $81.14 for his short 2013 season

Former Cal star and current Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers gets a lot of media attention for his polarizing comments and actions, but this week he received TV exposure on a game show for his sex appeal and also got media notice for earning the lowest performance-bonus payment of anyone in the NFL this year.

The TV exposure came this week via “Family Feud,” the game show hosted by Steve Harvey, and it involved a topic a family of contestants tried to match with a survey.

Here’s how Harvey introduced the topic:

“Top six answers on the board. We asked 100 women, ‘When it comes to sex appeal, who’s your favorite quarterback?’”

Tom Brady was the top answer by a large margin. But the first response from the family was “Aaron Rodgers,” and Rodgers was up there at No. 5, with four people in the survey giving his name.

However, the next contestant may have destroyed the credibility of the topic when he said, “John Madden,” who is obviously an incorrect answer on several levels.

The other four quarterbacks mentioned were Russell Wilson, Joe Montana, Brett Favre and Joe Namath.  Rodgers and Wilson were the only two active players on the list, which, interestingly, did not include Patrick Mahomes.

There is also the more serious matter of performance-bonus pay, which is extra money a lot of players get for reaching milestones spelled out in their contracts.

Rodgers did not have much of a 2023 season and his bonus pay reflected that.  He was on the field for just four snaps for the Jets, threw an incompletion on his only pass attempt and was sacked on another play before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury.  The Jets are counting on more than that from Rodgers in 2024, hoping he is completely recovered from his injury.

Not surprisingly, that short, unproductive stint last season earned Rodgers the lowest performance-bonus payout of any NFL player in 2023 – a total of $81.14, according to the SI site that covers the Jets.

Of course, the 40-year-old Rodgers was working in the first year of a three-year, $112.5 million contract, so $81.14 hardly qualifies as a good tip.

His contract helps explains his sex appeal.
