Elliot Cadeau Stretchered Away from Michigan Bus as Team Heads to Final Four

A scary situation developed in Ann Arbor on Wednesday afternoon as Michigan was boarding its bus heading to the airport to depart for the Final Four in Indianapolis when star point guard Elliot Cadeu had to be stretchered away from the team by medical personnel.
Cadeau reportedly had an allergic reaction which caused him to be separated from the team.
“Before the team departed the Player Development Center, Elliot alerted the medical staff that he may have had an allergic reaction to something that he ate,” a team spokesperson said in a statement.
“The doctors evaluated Elliot and he is fine. Out of an abundance of caution, he is receiving medical supervision and will be traveling to Indianapolis later today.”
Cadeau is enjoying the best season of his college career in his first year with the Wolverines after transferring from North Carolina, averaging 10.2 points and 5.8 assists per game while shooting 37.7-percent from 3-point range.

In Michigan’s Sweet 16 victory over Alabama, he posted 17 points, five rebounds, and seven assists while going for eight points and ten assist in the Elite 8 win over Tennessee.
“He just sets the pace and the tone of the game,” Michigan guard Nimari Burrnett said after the win over the Volunteers. “Even prior to the game, his mentality and getting us all pumped up, just giving us the right juice that we all individually and as a team need to go out there and play a good brand of basketball.
“Also just being a game manager, making sure that we're all in the right spots. He sees things that we don't even see ourselves. So super unselfish guy, so the success that he has, he deserves it and more.”
Elliot Cadeau was named to the Midwest All-Region team and will be a key part in Michigan’s game plan to slow down Arizona’s high-powered offense and point guard Jaden Bradley.
Tipoff between the Wolverines and Wildcats is slated for 8:49p.m. ET (TBS).
