Clemson is back in the College Football Playoff Rankings

The Tigers' recent success has earned some recognition on the national stage.

The Clemson Tigers are officially back in the top 25 of the country. The College Football Playoff Committee gave the team a 24th-place ranking before the final week of the regular season.

Though not the ranking fans were hoping for before the season, the selection represents the culmination of a solid three-week run in which the Tigers have taken down Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, and North Carolina. After an incredibly rocky first eight games of the year, this team has rallied around each other and found real momentum heading into their rivalry matchup with South Carolina.

Clemson has now taken down two top-25 teams in 2023.

Clemson is the fourth-ranked ACC program, coming in behind undefeated Florida State at No. 5, one-loss Louisville at No. 10, and 8-3 North Carolina State at No. 22. Notre Dame, a team Clemson handled earlier in the season, is still ranked as well at No. 18.

While there isn't any hope for championship glory this year, whether that be conference or national, there is still a lot of pride left in this team as evidenced by the recent run of play. Beating USC, finishing the regular season at 8-4, and making it to a solid bowl game with another chance to shine on the national stage is much better than many could have hoped for just three weeks ago.
