This time in the calendar year marks when former college football standouts take steps to pursue their professional dreams, in the United States or otherwise.

One name that fans of the Clemson Tigers and South Florida Bulls will recognize trying to break into Canadian football this year will be former wide receiver Ajou Ajou. Ajou was named as one of the prospects invited to the CFL Combine from March 19 to 24 in Winnipeg.

Ajou is originally from the Canadian province of Alberta, where he spent time in Calgary and Alberta growing up. Ajou finished high school in Florida at Clearwater Academy before signing with Clemson in the class of 2020.

Ajou spent two seasons with the Tigers, where he caught eight passes for 114 yards and a touchdown before transferring to South Florida for the 2022 season. Ajou played in one game for the Bulls before a series of injuries kept him from seeing the field again in Tampa.

He then transferred from USF to Kansas' Garden City Community College, where he caught 17 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns in 2023.

Ajou will also be eligible for the NFL Draft after officially renouncing the remainder of his college eligibility earlier this year. The CFL Draft is scheduled for April 30.
