Clemson Loses Malcolm Greene to the Transfer Portal
On Thursday afternoon, senior defensive back Malcolm Greene became the first Clemson Tiger to jump into the Transfer Portal during the spring window. The former 4-star recruit will have one year of eligibility remaining and will be available for this season.
Greene's move shouldn't come as a huge surprise. With just one more season of college football to play, Greene was projected to back up Nate Wiggins and Toriano Pride Jr. this season at corner. With the emergence of Shelton Lewis and others at that same spot, snaps were going to be tough to come by.
When he did get an opportunity to play, Greene showed up. During his tenure at Clemson, he started 5 games, tallying 40 tackles and intercepting 2 passes. In 2022, Greene started two games at nickel for the Tigers.
