Nate Wiggins is the NFL Draft's top corner, per ESPN Insider

Clemson had two players selected in the first round of last year's NFL Draft. Could Nate Wiggins help start a streak?

With NFL Wildcard weekend wrapping up with a couple of games on Monday, a majority of teams in the league have now turned the page to the 2024 season. The process begins with roster management and the NFL Draft (April 25th - 27th, Detroit).

For Clemson, this will be another year where the program gets to show off its ability to develop top talent, as multiple Tigers are expected to be taken early. But someone has to be the first Clemson player off the board. According to ESPN Insider Field Yates, that someone is Nate Wiggins.

Nate Wiggins

Nate Wiggins is the top corner prospect according to ESPN's Field Yates.

Yates has Wiggins ranked as his top corner in the upcoming draft, over guys like Terrion Arnold (Alabama) and Cooper DeJean (Iowa). The 6-foot-2 Wiggins is a prototype cover corner, combining blazing speed with adept technique on the outside.

Wiggins dealt with some injuries this season but still earned First-team All-ACC honors. On the year, he had 29 tackles, 2 interceptions, and a pick-six. A favorite fact about Wiggins from Clemson Athletics: accounted for two of the 16 career interceptions thrown by presumptive first-round NFL Draft pick Drake Maye.

He'll almost certainly be a first-round pick, becoming Clemson's seventh since 2000. The only question is how high will he be picked?
