Each year, Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) name 22 players and one head coach to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team for their exemplary community service (voting panel includes Kirk Herbstreit and Tim Tebow). As part of his All In Team Foundation, Dabo and his wife Kathleen since 2009 have given more than $5.5 million to help people across South Carolina, improving access to housing and medical care and raising awareness of critical education and health issues for those in need.

Deshaun, played under Dabo at Clemson and is an Allstate AFCA Good Works Team alum, flew in specifically to celebrate Dabo. Deshaun texted Dabo earlier this week asking him if he could surprise the team with some motivational words at practice – but Dabo has no idea that this will be a different kind of motivational event.

  • Clemson has had five players earn an Allstate AFCA Good Works Team distinction. Current Offensive Tackle, Sean Pollard (2018), Robert Carswell (1999), Nick Eason (2000), Xavier Dye (2009) and Deshaun Watson (2016).
