Weston Franklin, a four-star offensive guard from Jesup, Georgia’s Wayne County High, received a scholarship offer from Duke.

The 6-4, 308-pounder is the No. 342 player in the class of 2021, according to 247Sports. He’s the No. 18 rated offensive guard. Rivals has him listed as an offensive tackle and a three-star, rated No. 51 in the class at his position. ESPN lists him No. 17 at guard.

Franklin also has offers from West Virginia, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Pitt, NC State, Mississippi State, Miami and Michigan, among others. He’s also attended camp at Clemson.

He’s a versatile, powerful blocker who can play any position on the line. His highlight film shows him lining up at tackle, guard and center for the Wayne County team.

Franklin transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida for his junior season but plans to return to Wayne County for his senior year.

Duke currently has one offensive lineman commitment from the class of 2021—tackle Andrew Jones of Pfafftown. The Blue Devils have been busy offering offensive line prospects in the last week. Duke has extended offers to Davenport, Iowa tackle Tyler Maro and Arlington, Texas tackle Jacoby Jackson. Both are three-stars.

While the Blue Devils have offered close to two dozen tackles, they’ve extended scholarship offers to far fewer guards—just over a half dozen, and many of those have already committed elsewhere at this point in the process.

Franklin has plenty of options, and he likely will still collect many more offers from top programs before he makes his decision, but the Blue Devils are in the mix.
