Quentin Harris was named to the Unitas Golden Arm Watch List. That gives Duke seven watch listers this preseason, down from 16 last year. Victor Dimukeje (Bednarik, Nagurski), Brittain Brown and Deon Jackson (Doak Walker), Noah Gray (Mackey) and Jack Wohlabaugh (Rimington) were the others.
Bring back Coach K? For the first time since 2006, Team USA suffered a loss, snapping a 78-game win streak. Mason Plumlee scored 1 point with 3 rebounds in 10 minutes in the four-point loss to Australia. Jayson Tatum scored 5 in 24 minutes.
Panini released one of the first card sets featuring a Zion Williamson rookie card, and demand from collectors crashed their site yesterday.
