Duke basketball: Powerful 2024 forward wants to visit Blue Devils

In this story:
Pasadena Memorial (Texas) power forward Robert Miller III recently informed On3's Joe Tipton that the Duke basketball program is one of three that he hopes to visit. The other two he listed are Kansas and UCLA.
However, there's been no word of the Blue Devils expressing interest in Miller, a 6-foot-9, 225-pound sturdy four-star who ranks No. 82 overall on the 247Sports 2024 Composite and seems to thrive around the rim yet boasts a relatively smooth stroke from deep.

Currently, Miller holds only nine offers, but all nine are from power-conference schools. He told Tipton that Colorado, LSU, Texas, and TCU are the most active in his recruitment.
Meanwhile, the 2024 Duke basketball wishlist consists of only guards and small forwards at this juncture. So given that, plus Robert Miller III's notable strength and well-rounded game, it's conceivable he will soon land on the radar of first-year Blue Devil head coach Jon Scheyer and his staff.

What is Miller looking for in a program?
"The biggest deciding factor," he noted to Tipton, "would probably have to be the staff and how transparent they are with me."
Duke's only 2024 commitment to date came from Paul VI Catholic (Va.) four-star small forward and heralded sharpshooter Darren Harris back in October. He ranks No. 53 overall in the class.
