At the moment, the Duke basketball coaches are pursuing only one undecided high school senior to add to their five-deep, top-ranked 2024 recruiting class in NBA Academy Africa five-star center Khaman Maluach. But he might not be the Blue Devils' lone 2024 target for long.

On Thursday, Vermont Academy forward Joson Sanon, No. 11 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, told national recruiting insider "Trilly Donovan" that Duke has been reaching out to him of late. And he confirmed that a reclassification is in play.

The 6-foot-6, 190-pound five-star noted that he's also receiving new interest from another recruiting powerhouse, Kentucky, while continuing to hear from his most active official suitors in UConn, Arizona, Providence, Oklahoma State, Indiana, and Georgia.

Rivals' Rob Cassidy recently summarized Sanon's expanding game:

"Joson Sanon's consistency of production has made him a mainstay near the top of the rankings since they debuted. That said, the long and athletic wing has become a better ball-handler in recent months and is coming around as a reliable shooter in addition to his well-established reputation as a slasher."

"Trilly Donovan" suggested that it's likely only a matter of time until Joson Sanon announces his move to 2024 and asked the heralded prospect if he can see himself playing alongside the premier Duke basketball recruiting prize in Montverde Academy (Fla.) five-star forward Cooper Flagg.

"Of course," he responded. "I'm a shot-maker. I can play with anybody, for real."

Is a visit to Duke in the cards?

"Well, I've got two weeks in February open," Sanon said. "So, whoever's open is open...Maybe Duke. Maybe Kentucky."

He's scheduled an official visit to Kansas for the weekend of Feb. 3 and to Georgia two weeks later. On that note, the Blue Devils host Boston College on Feb. 10 and Louisville on Feb. 28, meaning they should be "open" to the idea of welcoming Joson Sanon to campus on either of those weekends.
