Duke Basketball Recruit Mixtape: 'Pledge Allegiance to the Flagg'

Duke basketball recruiting target Cooper Flagg is one exceptional specimen.

If Duke basketball lands Montverde Academy (Fla.) forward Cooper Flagg, he could be one of the all-time most advanced talents to arrive on campus. At No. 1 overall on the 247Sports 2024 Composite, there's no doubt the 6-foot-9, 200-pound five-star would be a game-changer recruiting prize.

That much is apparent in the official Cooper Flagg mixtape (below) that SLAM HS Hoops creatively produced and released on Thursday.

Check out the highly confident 16-year-old and admitted longtime Duke basketball enthusiast in action (most of the highlights are from his supremely dazzling summer performances), beginning with a "Pledge allegiance to the Flagg" proclamation seconds into the 5-minute video:

Flagg and a few other prime Blue Devil targets will be in Durham for official visits beginning Oct. 20. That's the same day as Duke basketball's Countdown to Craziness festivities in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The Maine native's mom, Kelly Flagg, recently noted that his high-profile recruitment will likely wrap up shortly after their trip to Duke (he checked out the program on an unofficial visit in early August).

As things stand, every prediction in the 247Sports Crystal Ball, Rivals FutureCast, and On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine points to the Blue Devils coming out on top. However, insiders aren't counting out UConn entirely, as the Huskies hosted Cooper Flagg on an official visit in late September.

Second-year Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer already boasts three 2024 pledges: five-star wings Kon Knueppel and Isaiah Evans, plus four-star sharpshooter Darren Harris.
