Florida Gators fall to No. 10 in the AP Top 25 for Week 6

The Florida Gators and Notre Dame Fighting Irish appear to be playing leapfrog.
Despite a 5-0 start to their 2019 season, stretching their current winning streak to nine, Florida has dropped a spot in the AP Top 25, from No. 9 to No. 10.
The Gators started the season at No. 8.
Their win over FCS opponent, the Towson Tigers, wasn't one to hang their hats on despite a final score of 38-0. But was it one worth dropping a spot in the rankings despite a victory? I don't think so.
Notre Dame reclaimed their position above Florida today after falling to No. 10 last week, following their loss to the third-ranked Georgia Bulldogs. Notre Dame defeated then-18th ranked Virginia by a score of 35-20 on Saturday.
Notre Dame hasn't played particularly dominant either, being down at halftime against Virginia and showing plenty of struggle early on against Louisville to begin the season. I would understand Notre Dame maintaining a spot over Florida if that were the case, but jumping the Gators seems a little much.
