Gators cornerback Jason Marshall Jr., wide receiver Ricky Pearsall and center Kingsley Eguakun will join Florida head coach Billy Napier in Nashville, Tenn. for 2023 SEC Media Days, the program announced on Monday.

Napier and Co. are scheduled to speak on Wednesday, July 19 at 2 p.m. EST.

The preseason kickoff conference is taking place at the Grand Hyatt Nashville Hotel from July 17-20.

Three veterans of the unit heading into year two of the Napier regime in Gainesville, Marshall, Pearsall and Eguakun are expected to be vital pieces to the puzzle for the Gators in 2023.

As a result, they will join Napier on the podium during the annual media event.

Marshall, a two-year starter at corner who is garnering preseason praise as a potential first-round draft pick, is set to lead a defensive attack yearning for greater success under Austin Armstrong in the upcoming campaign.

He’s the lone defender in the fold for Florida, thus indicating his importance to the expected defensive turnaround in what is likely his final year donning orange and blue threads.

Napier is also flanked by former Arizona State transfer wideout in Pearsall, gearing up for his second season in Gainesville after a head-turning introduction to the SEC in 2022.

Compiling 33 catches, 661 yards and five touchdowns — while adding 113 yards and a score on the ground — a year ago, Pearsall will serve as a strong asset for expected starting quarterback Graham Mertz as he navigates the offense.

Eguakun enters his third season as a full-time starter at center, where he’s proved durable to play in all 26 games available to him during that time. The incumbent leader of the offensive line is expected to step into the role once again, looking to provide consistency upfront for the newly reconstructed unit.

Individually, his fourth year at UF will be crucial as he receives scout looks for a spot at the professional level post-2023, namely as a potential candidate to make a Reese’s Senior Bowl roster following the season’s conclusion.

All Gators will provide live coverage of the event from Nashville on July 19.
