Florida redshirt senior linebacker Mannie Nunnery is entering the NCAA transfer portal as a graduate student, All Gators can confirm.

Nunnery is scheduled to receive his bachelor's degree from UF in the spring. On3 Sports first reported Nunnery's exit from Florida on Thursday.

A native of Pearland, Texas, Nunnery signed with Houston and spent four years with the program before transferring to UF last offseason.

Nunnery appeared in every game for Florida in 2023, making three starts at linebacker due to injuries at the position in the back half of the campaign. In his lone season with the Gators, Nunnery recorded 28 tackles, half a sack, 1.5 for loss and a pass breakup.

Paired with his four seasons of production at Houston, Nunnery has compiled 109 total tackles with 8.5 for loss, three sacks, three pass breakups and a forced fumble in his college career.

A special teams ace who earned a National Special Teams Player of the Year Award in 2021, Nunnery blocked three kicks during his time with the Cougars.

Nunnery is the second linebacker to leave Florida by way of the transfer portal this offseason, following Scooby Williams, who committed to Texas A&M on Jan. 7 after starting 10 games for the Gators in 2023.

Both Nunnery and Williams' departures came after former Florida inside linebackers coach Jay Bateman left the program in December, to accept the position of defensive coordinator at Texas A&M.

Shortly following Williams' exit, Florida obtained the commitment of South Carolina linebacker transfer Grayson "Pup" Howard. Additionally, the Gators signed consensus top-100 prospects at the position, Myles Graham and Aaron Chiles, in the recruiting class of 2024.

Nunnery is the 22nd scholarship member of the Gators' 2023 roster to enter the transfer portal this offseason. Find Florida's full log of portal activity here
