LIVE BLOG

10:30 P.M.: A lot just happened. Florida forced a turnover on downs with a sack by Marlon Dunlap and Jeremiah Moon, and Feleipe Franks followed that with an interception on the next play. Franks was injured on the play.

10:14 P.M.: Something clicked with Feleipe Franks, because he brought out the fire on Florida's last drive. He completed a beautiful 65-yard deep pass to Josh Hammond and took a QB keeper to the house to cap off a 96-yard drive.

Florida retakes their lead by a score of 24-20, with 8:18 in the 4th quarter.

10:06 P.M.: Miami misses a field goal from their four-yard line. Huge sigh of relief for Florida, but now they must travel 96 yards and score. Miami currently leads 20-17 with 9:48 left in the game.

10:05 P.M.: Florida held Miami to a field goal attempt following the interception, in which Miami ran a fake where TE Will Mallory was called for holding. However, James Houston was hit with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that gave Miami an automatic first down at the five yard line.

10:00 P.M.: Feleipe Franks overthrows an open Josh Hammond in the middle of the field and gets intercepted by Amari Carter. Miami gets the ball back in Florida territory with just over 12 minutes left in the game. It might be time to panic.

9:54 P.M.: Three plays and 75 yards following Florida's touchdown, the Hurricanes respond with 50-yard rushing touchdown by Deejay Dallas. Florida just forgot how to tackle.

Miami 20, Florida 17. 14:15 left in 4Q.

9:45 P.M.: TOUCHDOWN GATORS! Felipe Franks connects with running back Lamical Perine on a short throw to give Florida a 17-13 lead over Miami.

This score became possible due to a punt fumble recovery by Gators receiver (and punt gunner in this situation) Van Jefferson at the Miami 11 yard line.

9:25 P.M.: The Florida Gators finally put points on the board again, via field goal from the redzone to make the score 13-10, Miami. 6:30 left in the third quarter.

Feleipe Franks looked a bit more comfortable on that drive with back-to-back completions to gain 28 yards, but the offense stalled within the 10 yard line.

9:13 P.M.: Feliepe Franks just can't get things going for the Florida offense, and the Gators punt to open the second half. Kadarius Toney was stopped for a six-yard loss on a sweep and Franks is showing placement issues. This doesn't look like the quarterback we've been expecting to see in 2019 so far.

8:41 P.M.: Halftime has arrived and the Florida Gators are down by a score of 13-7 to the Miami Hurricanes. Miami's redshirt freshman QB Jarren Williams has been impressive under pressure and Gators QB Feleipe Franks has... not.

Need to see some adjustments on offense early in the second half.

8:35 P.M.: Miami QB Jarren Williams connects with TE Brevin Jordan for a 25 yard touchdown, giving Miami a 13-7 lead over Florida with 45 seconds until halftime. Safety Jeawon Taylor had a chance to stop it near the three-yard line but had a bad missed tackle...

8:15 P.M.: Just my $0.02...

All offseason, Florida has praised QB Feleipe Franks' growth as a leader. After two consecutive drives ending in fumbles, Franks needs to prove Florida is right in their assessment now.

8:08 P.M.: Florida allowed a chunk play immediately following Davis' fumble, but recovered well and held Miami to a field goal to make the score:

Florida 7, Miami 6. 8:26 left in the second quarter.

8:07 P.M.: Florida fumbles in Miami's territory on two consecutive drives, with Malik Davis failing to grip onto a pitch that gave Miami the ball at their own 47.

7:55 P.M.: After leading the Gators into the redzone, QB Feleipe Franks fumbled the ball on a handoff to Lamical Perine that Miami recovered at their own nine-yard line. Could have been miscommunication or a slip-up.

7:48 P.M.: In case you missed it, here's a clip of Kadarius Toney's 66 yard touchdown from earlier.

At the end of the first quarter, the Gators lead the Hurricanes by a score of 7-3.

7:43 P.M.: Forgot to add this earlier, but GatorMaven spotted multiple NFL scouts and Senior Bowl personnel on-site for Florida vs. Miami.

7:36 P.M.: Miami QB Jarren Williams pulled off some quick screens to get things flowing for the Hurricanes, but has since been sacked twice for a total loss of 17 yards and committed a delay of game penalty. Florida's pass rush is starting to get to the first time starter...

7:29 P.M.: The Florida Gators are on the board after an unconventional, yet successful first drive. After going three-and-out, Florida punter Tommy Townsend faked a punt and rushed for a first down, and quarterback Feleipe Franks connected with wide receiver Kadarius Toney on a screen pass that went 66 yards for a touchdown.

Florida 7, Miami 3. 7:37 left in the first quarter.

7:20 P.M.: Miami is the first team on the scoreboard for college football's 150th season, as kicker Bubba Baxa hit a field goal from 36 yards. Florida allowed three screen plays to go for 51 yards on Miami's first drive, but linebacker Ventrell Miller recorded a seven-yard sack to regain momentum within their own territory.

7:00 P.M.: Florida has suspended four players for their season-opening game against Miami. Read more here.

6:45 P.M.: Miami confirms the suspension of cornerback DJ Ivey for tonight's game. The sophomore defensive back was expected to play tonight after seeing action in 11 games last year.

6:45 P.M.: Did not see Gators safety Brad Stewart or defensive tackle Tedarrell Slaton in warmups for the Gators. Also, receiver Rick Wells wore a hoodie and stood to the side of WR warmups...

4:57 P.M.: It's happening dot GIF

10:10 A.M.: Check out Zach Goodall's three key matchups that could decide tonight's matchup between the Florida Gators and Miami Hurricanes here.

10:00 A.M.: I don't need a morning coffee anymore because the College Gameday theme song is back and has got me ready to run through a wall.
