LIVE BLOG

2:38 P.M.: Trask intercepted again, this time on a deep pass to Trevon Grimes in the endzone. Once again, two defenders in the area.

2:28 P.M: Trask intercepted targeting TE Lucas Krull in double coverage, after taking a sack on the previous play despite an open crosser with time to throw. Not his best drive on an otherwise great day.

2:25 P.M.: Marco Wilson blows up a pass to Wood-Anderson and the ball goes flying, linebacker Amari Burney dives and records an interception! #Gators take over at the Tennessee 31 yard line.

2:19 P.M.: Trask throws a beautiful 29 yard touchdown pass to Freddie Swain, he could not be having a better debut game as Florida's starting QB.

#Gators now lead Tennessee by a score of 24-3, 9:11 left in 3Q.

2:10 P.M.: Tennessee puts their first points on the board with Mauer at quarterback, as kicker Brent Cimaglia nails a 40 yard field goal. Florida leads 17-3 with 11:24 left in the third.

2:02 P.M.: Brian Mauer has entered the game at QB for Tennessee, as Jarrett Guarantano has been benched. Mauer is from Ocala, about 30 or so minutes from Gainesville.

1:37 P.M.: Touchdown #Gators, Lamical Perine's one yard rush is upheld.

Florida takes a 17-0 lead over Tennessee into the locker room at halftime. At the half, Trask is 12-14 for 204 yards and a touchdown.

1:22 P.M.: Tennessee is forced to punt with 5:02 left until halftime. Florida takes over at the Florida 39, and they need to score now. They're significantly outplaying the Vols, but the scoreboard doesn't indicate that. Tennessee also gets the ball to start the second half.

1:15 P.M.: Jones back in at QB for the Gators, but Florida goes three and out after two rushing attempts and a swing pass to Pierce on 3rd and 11 that went for no gain.

1:02 P.M.: Florida brings out Evan McPherson the field goal unit from the 5, which is GOOD! Gators take a 10-0 lead, 10:02 left until half.

12:55 P.M.: Marco Wilson records an interception and Florida takes over at Tennessee's 46 yard line.

12:48 P.M.: Florida put together a good drive behind the efforts of Trask, Pitts, Lamical Perine, and Kyle Pitts. However, Dan Mullen questionably ran a QB draw on 4th and 3 from the Tennessee 29 yard line, which failed to convert.

12:37 P.M.: STAR cornerback Trey Dean intercepts Tennessee QB Jarrett Guarantano in the endzone, diving for a tipped pass. Florida escapes a threatening drive by Tennessee and takes over at the 20 yard line.

12:31 P.M.: Weird series of events on Florida's second drive. Malik Davis fumbled a handoff that was originally recovered by Tennessee safety Nigel Warrior, but was overturned as Warrior had stepped out of bounds. Two plays later, Trask fumbled as he took a sack - the play was reviewed to see if he was down before the ball came loose, but luck didn't go Florida's way. Tennessee took over at Florida's 19 yard line.

12:10 P.M.: Kaiir Elam starts in place of C.J. Henderson at cornerback opposite of Marco Wilson. He has two picks in three games as a true freshman.

Jeremiah Moon also gets a start in place of Jabari Zuniga at defensive end. Moon has four tackles for loss this year, but only half of a sack.

12:07 P.M.: Trask throws a beautiful touchdown to TE Kyle Pitts across the middle of the field and the #Gators are first on the scoreboard. 7-0, 12:44 left in 1Q.

11:58 A.M.: QB Kyle Trask is preparing for his first start since his freshman year of high school, along with Emory Jones who is expected to receive playing time.

11:50 A.M.: The Gators will be without cornerback C.J. Henderson and defensive end Jabari Zuniga against the Volunteers, as both are suffering from sprained ankles.
