After not sending anyone to the annual prospect bowl game last year, the Florida Gators will be represented in Mobile, AL, for the 2020 Senior Bowl.

Defensive ends Jabari Zuniga and Jonathan Greenard, as well as running back Lamical Perine, have all accepted invites to the Senior Bowl, which takes place on January 25th, 2020.

The annual bowl game features the top senior and/or graduated talent in college football, showcasing their skills in front of NFL scouts, coaches, and front office management. Each player also meets with teams for interviews and whiteboard sessions.

Greenard was the first to accept an invite, adding to his tremendous senior season and first at Florida.

The Louisville graduate transfer, who only played nine snaps last season before suffering a broken wrist, has compiled four sacks, seven tackles for loss, a fumble recovery that he returned for an 80-yard touchdown, three defended passes an abundance of quarterback pressures - that number has not been updated at Pro Football Focus following Florida's 56-0 victory over Vanderbilt, but Greenard had 30 entering the game.

Perine, a Mobile native, accepted his invite later in the day on Friday, stating that he was "coming back home" to play in the bowl game.

While Perine has not posted elite production by any means this season given Florida's run blocking issues, he has the traits that catch NFL scouts' eyes. His elusiveness, second-gear speed, and improvement as an all-around receiving back makes him the perfect Senior Bowl type of player. Look for him to take advantage of the opportunity and shoot up draft boards.

Zuniga received his invite following the Gators' victory over Vanderbilt, despite not playing in the game. Zuniga has missed five games this season with an aggravated ankle sprain, but much like Greenard, Zuniga is an explosive athlete off of the line of scrimmage who wins as a pass rusher with a mix of power and finesse.

The first batch of invites started going out this past week, and there are sure to be more over the next two months leading up to Senior Bowl week. Make sure to stay tuned to GatorMaven for any other invites, and we will cover the Senior Bowl live from Mobile come January.
