Gators DL Target D’Antre Robinson Locks in Florida Official Visit

The June 2-4 weekend is shaping up to be a star-studded recruiting weekend for Billy Napier and his staff at the University of Florida.

Five-star quarterback commit DJ Lagway highlights the crucial recruiting weekend as priority targets Jeremiah Smith, Dealyn Evans, Kristopher Jones, Jalyn Crawford and Jamari Howard, among others, are scheduled to attend campus.

Fourteen total prospects are expected with four commits (Lagway, Adarius Hayes, Izaiah Williams and Josiah Davis) putting on recruiting caps in an effort to reel fellow 2024 talent into the class.

On Wednesday, Jones (Orlando, Fla.) High School product D’Antre Robinson shared his intentions to join the fold in Gainesville for the first weekend of June, according to On3Sports.

Robinson will keep a busy schedule in the ensuing weeks as he’s slated to also visit Ohio State (June 8-10), Texas (June 16-18) and Georgia (June 23-25).

Serving as a uber-productive interior defensive line piece at the prep level — freshly removed from a junior season in which he accounted for 57 tackles, three tackles for loss and one sack — Robinson is a prized asset for defensive line coach Sean Spencer and Co. in a relatively thin iDL class in 2024.

His skill set as a run stuffer and high-upside pass rusher as he moves swiftly for someone who stands 6-foot-4, 300 pounds would patch glaring holes of depth and talent at the position for UF.

The in-state prospect has reciprocated Florida’s interest since the program re-offered him under the Napier regime in March 2022.

Spencer will attempt to take advantage by further impressing Robinson during his multi-day stay this summer.

There is no set timeline for his commitment at this stage, but the Gators expect to be a suitor firmly in the mix when the time comes.
