Florida will host one of the top prospects in the country, regardless of position, this weekend when Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy 2024 defensive lineman David Stone Jr. makes his way to Gainesville.
In two Wednesday tweets, Stone acknowledged the upcoming unofficial visit and told Gators head coach Billy Napier that he'd see him "soon."

Stone said in March that Florida was one of the schools recruiting him the hardest, and it would appear that his upcoming trip represents reciprocated interest. It will mark his fourth campus visit, following his most recent trip on March 9 and two conducted last year.
Stone, 6-foot-4 1/2, 283-pounds, is considered the No. 2 defensive lineman and No. 8 overall prospect in the class of 2024 by the 247Sports composite rankings. He produced 25 total tackles with eight for loss in four games logged during his junior season, per MaxPreps.
Hours before Stone's announcement on Wednesday, his teammate and fellow IMG Academy 2024 defensive lineman, Jayden Jackson, tabbed Florida as one of his top five schools.
Florida welcomed four interior defensive linemen in the recruiting class of 2023 — transfers Cam'Ron Jackson and Caleb Banks and high school prospects Will Norman and Gavin Hill — and the Gators aim to further beef up their trenches in the current cycle. Stone would certainly aid in that effort, should he eventually pick UF as his college of choice.
