2025 EDGE Names Florida Among Top Five

In this story:
Florida made the first cut for Highland Home (Ala.) High edge rusher Jakaleb Faulk, having secured a spot in the class of 2025 prospect's top five schools on Tuesday.
Georgia, Auburn, Clemson and Alabama also claimed a spot in Faulk's group of contenders, trimmed down from 19 scholarship offers.

Faulk's choice to include the Gators in his narrowed-down recruitment stems from the relationship he has built with UF's coaching staff over multiple unofficial visits. Faulk toured the program twice in 2022 and returned to Gainesville for a spring practice in March 2023.
“I’ve been liking Florida ever since they offered me," Faulk told Jeremy Johnson of On3 Sports.
"The people down there are cool, chill and they kept it straight with you. The environment and where they are, it’s a great place to be. The staff up there is great. I love the staff over there. I have a good relationship with a couple of people over there.”
Faulk, 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, is considered the No. 12 edge rusher and No. 118 overall prospect in the class of 2025 by the 247Sports composite rankings.
He is the younger brother of Auburn defensive lineman and 2023 recruit Keldric Faulk. Both were named to the Alabama Sports Writers Association's All-State First-Team Defense in the 2A classification for the 2022 season.
