The trip will mark Mincey's first official visit as a prospect. Mincey is also scheduled to officially visit Miami from June 23-25.
Both programs were included in Mincey's freshly released top ten schools, alongside Alabama, Colorado, Florida State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and UCF, he shared on May 30.
The upcoming visit won't be Mincey's first to Florida, however. Rather, it will be his fifth as a prospect, following four unofficial treks to the program dating back to April 2022.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Mincey is considered the No. 11 safety and No. 131 overall prospect in the class of 2024 by the 247Sports composite rankings.
As a junior in 2022, Mincey tallied 38 tackles, three interceptions, eight pass breakups and two forced fumbles. He also plays basketball and participates in track and field.
Despite his projection as a safety due to his height by some outlets, Mincey has primarily aligned as an outside cornerback at the prep level and could reasonably continue to play the position at Florida should he opt for the Gators at the end of his recruitment.
Florida has coveted lengthy cornerbacks with speed under defensive backs coach Corey Raymond, lending credence to Mincey's potential to play outside at UF.
Each of the four outside cornerbacks Florida has signed from the high school level under Raymond's supervision has stood above six feet tall. Rising sophomore Devin Moore's frame nearly matches Mincey's at 6-foot-3.
Mincey's Mainland High teammate, class of 2024 defensive lineman LJ McCray, officially visited Florida from June 2-4.
