One south Florida’s top 2021 prospects recently visited Florida. Here’s a look at the talented prospect.

Jaden Alexis, WR, 6-1, 175, from Monarch High School of Coconut Creek, FL, has made a ton of big plays this season. Playing in Broward county, he’s accustomed to playing against the very best competition. That’s one of the reasons he earned so many offers to date.

Georgia, Alexis' leader, Kentucky, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Miami are some of the schools that offered. The Gators have not offered yet, but Alexis did visit Gainesville for the Vanderbilt game. He was impressed with the size across Florida's roster.

“We stayed at the same hotel [Florida] did,” Alexis remembered. “All the kids are just so big. 6-5, 6-6, not a few of them either.”

Alexis knows the Gators have the size, and now he’s evaluating the overall program and how hard the Florida coaching staff comes after him. As of today, Alexis admitted Georgia is recruiting him the hardest. Still, there is plenty of time for the Gators to make a move.

“Time wise, I really won’t make a decision until next year. Probably towards the middle of the season or closer to national signing day.”

There’s another bonus with Alexis, and it’s one most college coaches enjoy: “I am definitely going to be graduating early,” he said. Early enrollees usually do better because they adapt during spring before football fall camp when the pressure is on.

As for the rest of this year and more on official visits, Alexis could be on the road again, but it’s unclear: “I’m not sure yet, as I’m still evaluating.”

If he gets back to Gainesville it would greatly help the Gators cause. Otherwise, Alexis admitted he might be headed to Athens, GA for another visit.

Alexis will likely have several more schools offer him a scholarship. He will not need to work for an opportunity. For the Gators to stay in the race, they will most likely need to offer fairly soon.

Recruiting wars for the class of 2021 have just begun, and Jaden Alexis is just one of many that will be going through the recruiting ups and downs. An offer from Florids would make this an even more interesting race.
