Florida State Players and Coaches React to Being Left Out of the College Football Playoff
The 13-0 Florida State Seminoles are once again amongst the best five teams in college football after defeating Louisville in the ACC Championship game. However, the number five ranking means the Seminoles will not be competing for a national title in 2023.
Despite being just one of three undefeated power five teams, the playoff committee felt that the 12-1 Texas Longhorns and Alabama Crimson Tide were more deserving of a spot in the final four-team playoff.
So what does this mean for FSU? The Seminoles will play the 12-1 Georgia Bulldogs in the Orange Bowl on December 30th for a chance to go 14-0 for their first undefeated season since 2013 and third perfect season in program history.
The disappointing decision from the committee has left players and coaches scratching their heads wondering what they could have done differently, if anything at all.
