FSU Football Fans and Players React to Historic 2023 Season Coming to a Close

In this story:
Although the season ended on a low note for the Florida State Seminoles after suffering a devastating 63-3 defeat at the hands of the back-to-back National Championship winners, the Seminoles left it all on the field one last time in the 2023 season.
With a depleted roster on both sides of the ball due to transfers, injuries, and opt-outs, the Seminoles turned to young stars like Brock Glenn, who was coming off his first career start after leading the Seminoles to a victory in the ACC Championship Game.
FSU Football Star Jordan Travis Delivers Message to Community Following Final Game
Although it may not be the undefeated season with a playoff appearance like many players and fans had hoped for, the 2023 season FSU saw was, in many ways, magical. Whether it was the first conference championship, the wins over LSU, Clemson, and both in-state rivals, or even the bond the team showed during the season's final games when all hope seemed lost, this team will go down as one of the best in school history.
For that reason, fans and players decided to take to social media with gratitude for what this season has been rather than harping about the loss or what could have happened had things gone differently.
FSU Quarterback Jordan Travis Sends a Heartfelt Message to FSU
Thank you Florida State University. Thank you to my teammates and coaches. What a journey and I wouldn’t change a thing. “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” God is great all the damn time.

Former FSU Tight End Camren McDonald Sends an Encouraging Message to the FSU Fanbase
Todays game is not indicative of this team nor where we are as a program. The future for The Seminole Family is as bright as ever. The players deserve the most credit. 💐💐

Coaches, staff, and all members of the family deserve their flowers as well. It took a lot to get here.… pic.twitter.com/xigUqFQ1H9
Former FSU Safety and Rhodes Scholar Myron Rolle Sends Praise
Still proud of the FSU football Seminoles! Great year, great fight, great champions. Controlled what you could control. On to 2024! #GoNoles #ACCChamps #YallKnowWeShouldHaveBeenIn

ESPN Analyst Booger McFarland Once Again Defends Florida State After Being Left Out of the Playoff
Florida St can lose 75-3 doesn’t change the fact they should have been in the playoff , and the 23 opt outs 12-13 starters would have played
— Booger (@ESPNBooger) December 30, 2023
More Reactions From Fans:
UGA should get props for top players staying to play tonight. But let’s remember, the stars for FSU stayed LAST YEAR when they were top NFL prospects. They went undefeated only to have the CFP Committee turn college football into a parody…

I love this team. 13-0. Can’t steal my joy. Keep climbing. Go Noles
— Max (@maxnole4) December 31, 2023
All expected..can’t be that shorthanded + compete..don’t begrudge one kid for making a business decision..that’s the game now…have to look out for yourself.
— Mahogany Matt (@MahoganyMatt) December 31, 2023
Not even close to the most devastating loss, all things considered. https://t.co/kZdMJ2EI5n
I’ll be honest…I’m not mad about this because it wasn’t even the same team out there. For anyone to take this as a reflection of the past season…just ridiculous. https://t.co/NMxb70egUO
