Florida State needed Jordan Travis to be great against Clemson, and he's stepped up to the plate, even with a left shoulder injury. He put together a three touchdown game with a recent scoring to Keon Coleman in overtime for their second connection on the day.

This was a monumental play for the Seminoles in more plays than one. Not only did it snap a massive losing streak against Clemson but it put Jordan Travis in the record books forever in Tallahassee.

This was touchdown No. 82 for Travis in his Florida State career, which began in 2019 after transferring from Louisville. He began this season with 70 touchdowns which had him fourth in program history with touchdowns responsible for.

Travis' record-breaking touchdown couldn't have come in a better scenario, as the overtime touchdown pass was an eventual game-winner after the defense pulled through.

NoleGameday Staff Score Predictions: Florida State Seminoles at Clemson Tigers

Through the first few games, Travis passed Jameis Winston and Chris Rix with only Chris Weinke ahead of him. Now, Travis stands alone as the program's touchdown leader of all-time.

The reason Travis has been able to climb these ranks isn't only because his ability to toss the ball, which helps significantly, but his ability as an elite dual-threat quarterback. He's rushed for a good share of his career touchdowns, which allows for even more offensive versatility for the entire squad.

Passing these other Florida State legends is a testament for the level of improvement Travis has displayed over the course of his career in Tallahassee. He transferred under Willie Taggart's system, but has grown exponentially under Mike Norvell's leadership and system.

Something even more insane about this list is that three of the top four quarterbacks played at least four seasons, with Travis obviously getting extended eligibility. Winston, on the other hand, holds the No. 4 spot on the list after his two seasons with Florida State.

All-in-all, it's been incredible to watch Travis embrace his dream school and find incredible success as he and the Seminoles look to continue leaving their mark this season.
