Five-Star Cornerback Narrows Recruitment, FSU Makes Top Three

In this story:
The Florida State Seminoles have been on fire this past off-season while hauling in the No. 8 recruiting class for 2024. Including blue chip recruits like 4-star running back Kam Davis, 4-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek and 5-star tight end Landen Thomas, the 'Noles appear to be headed in the right direction to reload next year.
There could be another top 100 recruit joining Tribe 24 in 5-star cornerback Charles Lester III, who recently narrowed down his choice of schools to three: Florida State, University of Georgia and Alabama.

According to Lester, he plans on visiting Alabama (June 2-4), Colorado (June 9-11), Florida State (June 16-18), and Georgia (June 23-25). Lester has visited FSU nine times with his last trip coming in March.
The 6'1 Sarasota, Florida native is currently the 15th-ranked player nationally and the 2nd-ranked player at his respective position, according to 247Sports.com.
Lester is a dual-threat athlete who can play on both sides of the ball. He's lengthy and can press on the boundary while also being able to shut down receivers in the zone. As a corner, his game will benefit after a few years in a college-level strength and conditioning program. If he can work on his run support in blitz packages he has a chance to be a breakout player. Lester has solid ball skills and would be an asset to the secondary. The defensive side of the ball will need playmakers after 2023 with a ton of veterans moving on to the next level.
