Florida State Star Receiver Opting Out of Bowl Game vs Georgia

The latest Seminole to add their name to the list of opt-outs is Keon Coleman, the star wide receiver for the Seminoles who won't play vs Georgia.

While Georgia is dealing with its fair share of roster challenges leading into its Orange Bowl matchup with Florida State, the Seminoles will not be at full strength either, as leading rusher Trey Benson announced his decision to opt out of the Orange Bowl and declare for the 2024 NFL draft earlier in the week and he won't be the only one.

The latest Seminole to add their name to the list of opt-outs is Keon Coleman, the star wide receiver for the Seminoles, per 247sport's Matt Zenitz.

Georgia Opt-Outs in the Orange Bowl:

Coleman was Florida State's leading receiver this season with 658 yards on 50 receptions, with more than a fifth of those receptions culminating in his team-leading 11 TD receptions. After starting his career with Michigan State, it's believed that Coleman could be a first-round selection in this year's upcoming NFL Draft.

Georgia opened as a 12.5-point favorite in the Orange Bowl, with that number having climbed north of 14.0 points on most Vegas Books.
