Ladd McConkey Appears to Re-Injure Ankle vs Alabama

Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey limped off. He entered the game struggling with a right ankle injury and it appeared re-injured the ankle just before the half vs Alabama.

The No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs entered their matchup Saturday afternoon set to compete for a College Football Playoff birth and an SEC Title for the second straight season. They entered the contest as a relatively banged-up football team, with five starters on the injury report entering the matchup.

Tight end Brock Bowers, OG Tate Ratledge, WR Ladd McConkey, WR RaRa Thomas, and Jamon Dumas Johnson were all question marks entering the matchup. They got three of the five back, with JDJ and RaRa sitting out the SEC Championship game with their respective injuries.

Georgia suffered their first in-game injury of the contest as starting right tackle Amarius Mims suffered an ankle injury during the first half. Shortly before the end of the first half, however, starting wide receiver Ladd McConkey limped off. He entered the game struggling with a right ankle injury and it appeared re-injured the ankle just before the half.

UPDATE: Ladd McConkey was seen on the field and in the rotation to start the second half.
