2020 UGA Football Schedule | A quick look ahead at next season
Georgia's 2020 schedule was released yesterday, and though the 2019 season is set to kick off in three weeks, let's take a look at what Georgia has set for next season:
Opponent | Date | Location |
---|---|---|
Virginia | Sept. 7 | Atlanta, GA.. |
ETSU | Sept. 12 | Athens, GA. . |
@Alabama | Sept. 19 | Tuscaloosa, AL.. |
ULM | Sept. 26 | Athens, GA. |
Vanderbilt | Oct. 3 | Athens, GA. |
Auburn | Oct. 10 | Athens, GA. |
@Missouri | Oct. 17 | Columbia, MO. |
Off | Oct. 24 | |
Florida | Oct. 31 | Jacksonville, FL. |
@South Carolina | Nov. 7 | Columbia, SC. |
Tennessee | Nov. 14 | Athens, GA. |
@Kentucky | Nov. 21 | Lexington, KY. |
Georgia Tech | Nov. 28 | Athens, GA. |
SEC Championship | Dec. 5 | Atlanta, GA. |
Highlights:
- 3 games in 13 days ending @Bama is a tough way to open a football season, but the caliber of challenge that this program should embrace.
- After the brutal opening, UGA spends the next three weeks at home, with ULM, Vandy, and Auburn coming to town.
- The perennial bye week before the Florida game is intact.
- Away games against Mizzou, South Carolina, and Kentucky (after the Bama game obviously) are more than manageable.
Here's one thing I will say for the 2020 schedule, whatever happens on September 19th, 2020 in Tuscaloosa it's just week three. Win or lose, it's just week three
In the meantime, here's a hype video for the 2019 season that is set to kick off in just 23 days from our very own, Matt Klug:
