4-star Tight End Carter Nelson Commits to Nebraska

The college football recruiting scene has been running hot as of late, and Georgia has been joining in on the fun as they have landed several commitments over the last month and are looking for more. High school prospects all over the country and narrowing down their decision, and this time 2024 tight-end prospect Carter Nelson has announced his decision to commit to Nebraska.

The Nebraska native is rated as a top ten tight-end prospect in this year's class and a top 100 player, according to 247 Composite rankings. Nelson visited the University of Georgia in early June, and the Bulldogs were heavily in the mix throughout Nelson's recruitment. However, Nebraska also inserted themselves into the conversation, and the Cornhuskers were the ones that came out on top. It's also worth mentioning that Georgia currently has two tight ends committed to their 2024 class in Colton Heinrich and Jaden Reddell, which possibly could have played a role in his decision.

Tight end coach Todd Hartley has done an impeccable job recruiting the position while in Athens, so with him on staff Georgia always has a chance at landing players like Nelson. But even if they don't, the Bulldogs are in good hands at tight end for the foreseeable future.
