Bulldogs Look to Bolster Impressive Home Opener Streak This Saturday

It's no secret that the Georgia Bulldogs have been on an extremely impressive win streak over the past two seasons. Winning 17 straight games and two national titles is an extremely impressive feat. The Bulldogs are also in the midst of a winning streak that dates back to before Kirby Smart was even the head coach.
The Bulldogs are currently on a nine-year win streak in opening games and have won said games by a margin of 25.6 points under Kirby Smart. The last time the Bulldogs lost in week one was all the way back in 2013 when they fell to the Clemson Tigers on the road.
While losing a season opener is fairly uncommon for the Dawgs, it is even more uncommon when they open the season in Sanford Stadium. The last time the Bulldogs fell in week one at home was in 1996 when they were upset by a score of 7-11 by Southern Miss.
While college football is a wildly unpredictable sport with unthinkable upsets taking place every year. It is safe to assume that the Bulldogs will have no issue extending their home-opener win streak this Saturday against the UT-Martin Skyhawks.
