Week two of the NFL season brought loads of good games, such as the Atlanta Falcons comeback win over the Green Bay Packers or the Pittsburgh Steelers winning their first game of the season against the Cleveland Browns. Within that game, Nick Chubb was ruled out for the season with a leg injury; meanwhile, plenty of former Bulldogs like himself shined in this week's games. 

Thursday Night Football

The Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles faced off in this primetime matchup featuring four former Georgia players because Lewis Cine was injured for the Vikings, and Nakobe Dean and Nolan Smith were injured for the Eagles. All four guys had a chance to show what they're made of in the nailbiter that saw Philly win 34-28. D'Andre Swift led the offense with 28 carriers, 175 rushing yards with 6.3 per carry, and a touchdown. Defensively, Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis had two tackles, one TFL, and Davis had two QB hits. Meanwhile, Kelee Ringo had one tackle and a fumble recovery. 

Sunday Games: 1 p.m. 

The Green Bay Packers vs. Atlanta Falcons also saw their fair share of Georgia Bulldogs that saw some action in this game. This game saw the Falcons put up 13 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to complete their comeback victory of 25-24. Lorenzo Carter put up one tackle in their efforts, but Quay Walker made his presence felt. He led the Pack defense with 17 total tackles and a QB hit, and Devonte Wyatt had three tackles of his own. 

Staying in the NFC South for these games, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers handled Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears at home, winning 27-17. Jake Camarda punted four times in the game for the Bucs, totaling 211 yards, averaging 52.8 yards per attempt, three pins inside the 20, and a long of 72 yards. Baker Mayfield looks exceptionally well, completing 76.5% of his passes for 317 yards and a touchdown. 

Three more Dawgs saw action yesterday when the Las Vegas Raiders took on the Buffalo Bills. James Cook and Leonard Floyd helped lead the Bills to a 38-10 victory over Zamir White and the Raiders. Cook was the lead rusher for the Bills with 17 carries for 123 yards and an average of 7.2 yards, while Floyd had two tackles. White was the second-leading rusher for the Raiders, toating the rock four times for 22 yards and 5.5 YPC, while Josh Jacobs had nine carries for -2 yards. 

Roquan Smith and Ben Cleveland led the Baltimore Ravens past Troy Hill and the Cincinnati Bengals in a close game, 27-24. Roquan Smith had five tackles on the night, which was less impressive than week one, but he was still third on the team. 

To round out the 1 p.m. games, there were two AFC West vs. AFC South matchups. First, the Kansas City Chiefs beat Tyson Campbell, Travon Walker, and the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 17-9. Campbell had eight tackles, while Walker had two of his own, one being a tackle for loss. Meanwhile, the Tennessee Titans beat the L.A. Chargers in an overtime thriller, 27-24. Monty Rice picked up a tackle on the way to their win, while Kearis Jackson returned two punts for 11 yards. 

Sunday Games: 4 p.m.

Andrew Thomas, Lawrence Cager, Azeez Ojulari, and Jonathan Ledbetter kicked off the late slate of games as the New York Giants took on the Arizona Cardinals. Andrew Thomas saw playing time in their 31-28 victory over Ledbetter and the Cardinals, but Cager and Ojulari did not receive playing time. Ledbetter had two tackles in the Cardinals' losing efforts. 

Former Georgia TE Charlie Woerner has seen special teams action in the past two weeks for the San Fransico 49ers. This week, versus the L.A. Rams, Woerner picked up his first tackle of the season in their 30-23 win. 

Mecole Hardman and the New York Jets traveled to Texas for the NFL Game of the Week to take on the Dallas Cowboys. Dan Quinn and the Cowboys' defense shut down Zavh Wilson and the Jets, defeating them 30-10.  Although they lost, Hardman saw his first action of the season with his new team, playing in his first game and grabbing a single catch for six yards. 

Monday Night Football

Both of the MNF games brought exciting games for fans to watch. It was one of the first times in recent memory that there were two games on a Monday night during the regular NFL season. New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers was the start of the two games and saw Troy Hill and James Houston in their first home game for the Panthers. The Saints defeated the Panthers 20-17, but Hill had two tackles while Houston had two of his own with a sack on Derek Carr. 

Meanwhile, the later game brought lots of drama and an unfortunate injury. The Cleveland Browns' star RB was hit by a full-speed tackle that buckled his left knee and will require him to undergo season-ending knee surgery. When he exited the game, he had ten carries for 64 yards and was leading the Browns to a touchdown drive. The Dawgs for the Pittsburgh Steelers shined in this game, especially George Pickens, who had a major 71-yard touchdown grab on his way to a four-catch night and 127 yards on ten targets. Broderick Jones played four snaps on the season with a PFF grade of 63.1
