Five-Star Quarterback Dylan Raiola Commits to Georgia

Five-star quarterback in the 2024 class Dylan Raiola has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.

In the midst of college football entering a crucial part of the year for recruiting, the Bulldogs received some major news on the trail. Five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola has announced his commitment to the Bulldogs. He becomes the 12th member of Georgia's 2024 class.

This is a major pickup for the Bulldogs as Raiola is ranked as the number-one quarterback in the class and the best overall prospect. The Phoenix, Arizona native is the second highest-rated recruit that Georgia has ever landed in program history according to 247sports.

This has been an interesting recruitment to follow. Raiola was at one point committed to Ohio State but then backed off of his pledge in December of 2022. His list of potential schools then seemed to narrow down to Georgia, USC, and Nebraska. The Bulldogs have now come out on top of that battle, and Raiola's commitment provides a major momentum boost for the Bulldogs on the trail as the top quarterback prospect will likely draw in other premiere talents as well.

Raiola is the second quarterback commit for Georgia in this year's class as Ryan Puglisi announced his commitment to the Bulldogs back in October of 2022. Puglisi is ranked as the 12th-best quarterback in the class and the second-best player in the state of Connecticut.

Georgia lost a 2024 commit as five-star tight end Landen Thomas flipped to Florida State, but Raiola's commitment certainly makes up for that loss. This is a major recruiting win for head coach Kirby Smart and his program, and good things will follow now that Georgia is in possession of one of the best quarterback prospects in recent memory.
