BREAKING: 5-Star Wide Receiver Ryan Wingo Announces Commitment to Texas

The State of Missouri has provided the nation with two of their best football players with 5-star defensive lineman Williams Nwaneri and 5-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo. Today, Wingo announced his commitment to the Texas Longhorns football program, rather than playing for Georgia, Missouri, Miami, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.
Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns are in the midst of their most successful season in recent memory, and because of that, they are making strides on the recruiting trail. One of the strides the Longhorns have taken happened moments ago when 5-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo announced his commitment to Texas over Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia, Miami, and Texas A&M.
The Longhorns currently have 19 total commits in their 16th-ranked 2024 recruiting class, landing two five-stars in offensive tackle Brandon Baker and linebacker Colin Simmons. Wingo will be the third five-star and third wide receiver Sarkisian, and company have landed in the '24 class, and he looks way more dominant on the field than his future teammates. Under an NFL-based passing attack that Texas runs offensively, Wingo should excel with the 'Horns like AD Mitchell and Xavier Worthy.
With 27 total commits for the Georgia Bulldogs after Ondre Evans flipped his commitment from LSU, Kirby Smart, and the Dawgs don't have much room to spare in regards to their scholarship budget and are saving spots for prospects they truly believe they can land and can make an immediate impact for the team. They still hold the number one recruiting class for 2024 and will look to hold everyone they currently have committed as the early signing period approaches.
