While Georgia has produced a high number of draft picks over the past few years, not every former Bulldog hears their name called on draft day. Some of them go through the process of being signed as an undrafted free agent and grinding out training camp, hoping to do enough to solidify a spot on the 53-man roster when the final cuts are made. That's exactly what wide receiver Kearis Jackson did as he has officially made the Tennessee Titans 53-man roster.

Jackson had a pretty impressive showing for the Titans during the stretch of preseason games. Most recently, against the New England Patriots, Jackson caught a 26-yard touchdown pass. He has also served as a kick return specialist for the Titans leading into the season, much like he did during his time in Athens with the Georgia Bulldogs.

The former Bulldog spent five seasons in college where he didn't necessarily put up game-breaking numbers, but he was always viewed as a reliable target and a great teammate. He finished his college career with 1,107 receiving yards and four touchdowns. His best season came in 2020 when he reeled in 36 receptions for 514 yards and three touchdowns.

The NFL Network's Tom Peliserro previously reported that Jackson's initial rookie free-agent deal came with $78,000 guaranteed, but his new deal will provide him the opportunity to make considerably more. Now that Jackson has made the Titan's opening-day roster, his new contract will pay him $750,000 in 2023 and $2.695 million over the course of the three-year deal.

Jackson may not have been a first-round draft pick like many of his former teammates were, but he has officially ended up in the same place as him and can officially begin his professional career.
