Former Tennessee Running Back Len'Neth Whitehead Commits to Georgia

Former Tennessee Volunteer Len'Neth Whitehead has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Georgia football program got blessed with some massive recruiting news today with the No. 1 player in the country, quarterback Dylan Raiola, committing to the Bulldogs, and they just added another commitment to the tally. Former Tennessee running back Len'Neth Whitehead has pledged to the Bulldogs.

Whitehead, an Athens, Ga. native had 32 carries for 207 yards during Tennessee's 2022 season. His most productive game came against the Missouri Tigers when he rushed for 76 yards on just nine carries. He spoke with On3 about what drew him to play for the University of Georgia.

“The ability to be a part of a great program with so many coaches full of knowledge to better me as an athlete and a young man. They’re track record alone speaks for the program and the type of excellence the coaches and fans expect from each individual on the roster. Year after year, Coach McGee produces some of the best, well-rounded running backs across the country, so it was a no brainer when I was presented the opportunity to be a part of his room. I’m truly excited and blessed to be in the position I am.”

The Bulldogs' addition of Whitehead is likely a move in response to the teams' injuries in their running back room. During spring practice earlier this season, the Bulldogs lost senior running back Kendall Milton due to a hamstring injury. Redshirt freshman Andrew Paul is also currently battling a lingering ACL injury. Both are anticipated to be healthy by the start of the regular season.
